Rick has done significant research into the role of music in healing and
palliative care, and has played in Intensive Care units, hospice,
convalescent centers, neo-natal wards, and burn units.
In addition to the healing found in deep meditative, contemplative, and
relaxation states, clients who may benefit from the music of Wholenotes
include those who suffer from cancer, respiratory disease, dementia,
Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, and HIV/AIDS.
Rick holds a B.A. degree
in Bible, Comparative Religion, and Philosophy, and has completed
graduate studies in the areas of Sacred Music. He is currently writing
his thesis on the sacramental and healing properties of music while
continuing studies of music in palliative care.
