Q: What's the difference between your LifePath Readings and a psychic reading?
A. The difference is focus and empowerment.
The interest people often have in readings is to ask what will occur for them and what choices they should make.
The LifePath Readings focus on giving you feedback about the movements of your personal life path that you have consciously or unknowingly put into play for significant reasons. This feedback comes through my years of intuitive development and clinical training in systems approach.
The goal of a LifePath Reading is to help you put outer events and internal experiences into a larger perspective, making it easier for you to make more informed choices with far reaching and often profound results.
Q. You state that in the Mystery Schools, you help people to develop their intuitive/psychic abilities. Do we all have them, and if so, what value do they have?
A. Everyone has intuitive/psychic abilities. We call them many things: hunches, gut feelings, divine messages, and just plain 'knowing'. What we may not understand is that we can develop these natural abilities just as we have spent time training the logical part of our brains. This creates an unbeatable partnership for decision making as well as a feeling of connection with Life around us.
Q. You use the terms psychic and intuition interchangeably. Are they the same?
A. For our purposes in JourneyWork, they're the same. Both terms have often been misunderstood or even maligned as either not real or at best impractical. They are neither. Rather, these abilities allow us to access a more subtle and at the same time broader database of information about ourselves and our Universe.
Q. Where did you get the name Mystery School?
A. The Mystery School is an ancient tradition dating back prior to the Middle Ages, and some say all the way to the Kabbalah. It deals with understanding the mysteries of the Universe and is both mystical and metaphysical.
In JourneyWork, Mystery School aligns itself with all faith traditions that encourage enlightenment in those who seek that awareness. Enlightenment is defined in JourneyWork as embracing balance in the total person while acting in relationship with a larger Context. While we all have these moments, JourneyWork seeks to empower as many of them as we can invite.
Q. One of your services is about meeting our Guidance. What do you mean?
A. JourneyWork uses the term Guidance to allow for the broadest possible definition of your experience of that which is beyond your own immediate conscious ability to assess and change or fulfill what you have at the center of your focus at any given moment.
Your Guidance may be for you: an angel, a Higher Soul Self, God, an avatar, a teacher, a mentor, Bodisatva, your own subconscious, or any 'enlightened' presence that assists you.
You can develop a working relationship with this marvelous being, your best friend, through meditation, journaling, gestalt exercises, walking in nature, or any number of methods that work for you.
The idea is to understand that you have someone in your corner to help you access your power in a beneficial way.
